Casey Wilson has been cast as the female lead in "Happy Endings" creator/ showrunner David Caspe's new NBC comedy "Marry Me."

Wilson, who is engaged to Caspe in real life, will play a young woman named Annie who gets engaged to boyfriend Jake. She and her fiance quickly realize betrothed life is a little more difficult than they thought it would be. Annie, the emotional type, is perfect for Wilson. Jake will be her logical counterpart.

NBC must be on a Wilson kick because the network already picked up "Mason Twins," a pilot from Wilson and her writing partner June Diane Raphael. Both "Marry Me" and "Mason Twins" are single-camera comedies, but "Mason Twins" follows two fraternal twin sisters who were estranged for 15 years. They reconnect when the city-living sister's life falls apart and she returns to her suburban hometown.

Wilson is the latest "Happy Endings" star to land a new show after the sleeper hit was canceled in May 2013. Eliza Coupe, in addition to a guest role on Showtime's "House of Lies," was cast as the lead on USA's "Benched." Adam Pally has been dropping jokes left and right as a bro-tastic doctor on "The Mindy Project" and Damon Wayans Jr. returned to "New Girl" in its third season.

Happy endings for Wilson, indeed!
