Eastern Florida State College Shooting Leaves At Least 1 Injured

One person has been shot following an altercation at a Florida college.

Police say that the incident began when a fight broke out just before 2 p.m in a parking lot at Eastern Florida State College, WESH reports.

As the violence escalated, one fighter went to his car to get a gun, returned, and shot one of the attackers.

Two individuals were detained following the incident, one being the suspected shooter, the Orlando Sentinel reports. The names of the victim and the alleged shooter have not been released.

A tweet from the college said, "A shooting has been reported in Palm Bay campus parking lot. Campus is locked down and people are asked to stay inside with doors locked."
