A 19-year-old California man propositioned a 10-year-old girl with a lewd request on Facebook over the weekend, police say.
Investigators intercepted the conversation by posing as the victim. The suspect, Dylan Ray Mills, was arrested at a Valley Springs Starbucks where he expected to meet the girl, according to a police report.
The sheriff's office received a report on Sunday that Mills may have been propositioning the victim over Facebook. He allegedly knew the age of the girl and asked to meet for sexual intercourse. Deputies said that Mills' statements were "sexually explicit."
Mills agreed to meet at the Starbucks, and at 10 p.m., deputies say they witnessed him sitting in his car in front of the coffee shop. He was arrested on a charge of arranging to meet with a minor for lewd conduct, among others.
Mills allegedly admitted to the crimes in a subsequent interview after the arrest, according to the report.
