'Sherlock' Actor, Martin Freeman, Reveals Gay Club Scene Cut From Season 3

Sherlock and Watson in a gay bar?

It happened, and you almost got to see it.

Martin Freeman, who plays the part of John Watson on "Sherlock," recently revealed to Radio Times that a gay club scene was shot for an episode during the third season.

In "The Sign of Three" Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson get drunk for Watson's stag night ("Bachelor Party," for all you Yankees), but there was a scene shot that didn't make it to the final cut.

“Doing the drunk stuff was lovely, but I regret there was one bit of that drunk stuff that was missing. There was the gay club scene," revealed Martin. "We were absolutely mullered in the gay club –- lots of topless men going past, and us just going ‘Why are we here?’”

Yeah, why would Sherlock and Watson be in a gay club?

Hopefully the scene makes it onto the DVD special features.
