Shedding Light On Foster Children In Need, From Rosie O'Donnell (VIDEO)

When asked what’s next in the career of an entertainer who’s done it all, actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell had some exciting news to share with us.

“I’m doing this great guest performance on season 2 of “The Fosters,” a television series about adopted children in foster care. She was incredibly moved by the show’s first season, and contacted the show’s producer to try and get involved.

Rosie will appear on a five episode arc, playing the role of a social worker working with kids who are almost too old to be in the foster care system. “There are half a million kids in foster care in the United States and only 140,000 licensed foster homes. These kids have nowhere to go,” Rosie told us. “It’s a cause that’s been close to my heart for a long time.”
