Pause: Amy Adams was in "Cruel Intentions 2"?
Longer pause: There was a "Cruel Intentions 2"?

Long before Amy Adams was scoring Oscar noms -- most recently for her leading role in "American Hustle" -- she starred in the awesomely bad, straight-to-VHS film "Cruel Intentions 2."

In the 2000 sequel, Adams stars as the ruthless, rich seductress Kathryn Meurteuil -- the same role that Sarah Michelle Gellar took on in the first film. The sequel was actually a re-edited pilot of a failed TV show called "Manchester Prep." Makes you think there might be a reason why it failed ...

Check out this raunchy (and painfully ridiculous) scene from the flick, in which Adams tries to seduce her on-screen stepbrother:

We're rooting for you on Sunday, Amy. You've come a long way.
