Why You Should Be Excited For Ellen DeGeneres To Host The Oscars

Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the Oscars for the second time this Sunday, March 2, and you're probably incredibly excited. If you aren't, you should be.

Here's why:

First of all, you know she's funny. You know she can dance. And, you know she can entertain an audience. (She does it every day on her talk show!)

Best of all? She has hilarious rapport with nearly every star there.

In a recent interview with The Associated Press, DeGeneres explained that her friendships in Hollywood are easing her hosting nerves. "It's live around the world, to a billion people watching, and every major person who is in the room that has done every major thing. I mean, I know a lot of them. So, it helps a little bit that I'm friendly with everybody. But it's still scary," she explained.

"Friendly" seems to be a bit of an understatement if you've seen any of DeGeneres' interviews. She has a tendency to get a little bit personal and a lot hilarious in her conversations with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. So, let's just say she'll have a lot of material to work from.
