WANTED: Purple Burglar

Cops are hunting down an ultra-violet burglary suspect and his accomplice after two homes were broken into in Florida.

One of the unidentified men can be seen on surveillance video (above) appearing to break into a home while wearing all purple. St. Petersburg police have creatively dubbed him the "Purple Burglar."

On Wednesday morning, the suspects allegedly broke into a home on 16th Avenue and stole several items, including a revolver.

That afternoon at 12:45 p.m., a camera recorded the suspects breaking into another home on 17th Avenue through a rear window where they allegedly stole electronics, according to a press release. The Purple Burglar approached a neighboring home and rang the doorbell where a camera caught clear video of his movements and his eye-catching aubergine attire.

Surveillance footage shows them flee the scene in a four-door, silver Toyota Camry, likely manufactured between 2006 and 2011.
