Kristen Bell: 'I Signed Up To Be An Actress, But I Also Signed Up To Be A Mom'

Actress Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard are on a crusade to protect celebrity children from the paparazzi.

Bell discussed the issue while appearing on HuffPost Live to promote her new movie, "Veronica Mars."

"I wanted to see if I can change the game for my daughter," she told host Ricky Camilleri, explaining that after having Lincoln, 11 months ago, she found out first-hand what goes into procuring these pictures. The scene she describes -- photographers running red lights by a school playground and following young children all day-- isn't pretty. "I wanted to start a national conversation."

As for the argument that Bell asked for this life and is a public figure, she said:

I know I signed up to be an actress, but I also signed up to be a mom... [Lincoln's] not a part of me. She's a private citizen who has rights. One of her rights as a minor is her anonymity.
