'How To Not Get Raped' Video Makes So Much Sense. Oh Wait, No It Doesn't

'How To Not Get Raped' Video Makes Perfect Sense. Not.

Cat Del Buono's satirical comprehensive guide on "how to not get raped" is inspired by WikiHow, Cosmopolitan Magazine, the University of Colorado and other colleges' advice to women. "It speaks to the absurdity of placing responsibility and blame on the victim," writes the director in her video description.

The satire reaffirms the necessity to give up the "she was asking for it" defense, and shift focus to teaching potential perpetrators to (surprise, surprise) not be rapists, and understand the meaning of consent.

Because after all, rape predates miniskirts.
