Serving up made-from-scratch soul food, Sweetie Pie's has become a wildly popular landmark in St. Louis for classic comfort food. The restaurant's owner, Miss Robbie Montgomery, is thinking about expanding her empire -- but her outspoken family disagrees on where the next restaurant should be.
Miss Robbie, a former back-up singer for Ike and Tina Turner, used to call L.A. home. She thinks it would be a great location for her next restaurant, considering she's never been able to find good soul food on the West Coast. Her son, Tim, thinks differently.
"Tim keeps pushing on me about opening a restaurant in Houston," Miss Robbie says. "In my opinion, if there's going to be a restaurant outside of St. Louis, it should be L.A."
