"Law & Order: SVU" is known for its guest starring roles -- anyone who's someone has been on the show. On Wednesday night, March 19, the latest episode featured a handful of big-name cameos and also marked Mariska Hargitay's directorial debut.
In his much-anticipated return to TV following "30 Rock," Alec Baldwin guest starred as Jimmy Mac, a fictional legendary journalist whose reporting screws up a rape case. Check out a clip of Jimmy's introduction to the squad when Benson finds out, much to her surprise and dislike, that he's writing a profile on her.
If Baldwin's arrogant reporter wasn't enough to keep you excited, there was also a brief cameo by Katie Couric, and an even more brief appearance by Questlove. Fans heard about Questlove's expected cameo last month when Ice-T tweeted a photo of The Root's frontman as a deadman.

In case you missed Questlove's dead body last night, here's a clip of him lying on a slab in Warner's office with Rollins' looking at him with much interest -- she must be thinking, "Hmm, he looks familiar ..."
"Law & Order: SVU" airs on Wednesdays on NBC at 9 p.m. ET.
