'Meet The Press' Ratings Continue To Tumble

Meet the third-place Sunday morning news show.

Politico reported that 'Meet The Press' continued its ratings slide last week, finishing a distant third to CBS' "Face The Nation" and ABC's "This Week." "Meet the Press" drew 2.804 million viewers for its March 23 show, while "This Week" had 3.400 million, and "Face The Nation" 3.938 million. It's the fourth time in five weeks that the venerable program lost to its two main competitors.

HuffPost's Michael Calderone reported last week that, in the face of low ratings and mounting criticism, NBC is "doubling down" on host David Gregory, betting that web-only interviews and increased digital engagement will draw in younger viewers.
