Ted Cruz Pulls An April Fools' Day Funny

Bring some soap and water for this one.

A little more than two weeks after tattooed posters of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) showed up all over Los Angeles, the senator threw his own version into the April Fools' Day fold.

In a Tuesday morning appearance on "Fox & Friends," Cruz showed off his brand new Winston Churchill tattoo, complete with cigar in mouth. The addition comes days after video surfaced of the senator attempting a Churchill impression.

When the hosts asked if it was real, Cruz broke the joke news, telling them that the calendar "might suggest something about what you're seeing."

"I'm proud to stand with Winston Churchill," he quipped. "I'm proud to stand, and I've got to say my wife was fairly astonished."
