'Porn For The Whole Family' Proves Nothing Is Shocking Anymore, Thanks To The Internet (NSFW)

Porn For The Whole Family? (NSFW)

Well, here's a phrase we never thought we'd read. "Porn for the Whole Family," for the uninitiated, is a photographic endeavor by Brian Steinhoff, exploring the images that maintain a visceral sense of shock and awe, even in the internet age. The series features pornographic scenarios plopped in domestic settings, yet all human forms have been filled in with the drab floral patterns normally reserved for wallpaper of couch cushions.

The works combine the most banal of interior decor with the most (at least, allegedly) provocative of subject matter -- sex. The mixture, at once shocking and not so much, leads us to question just what could jar out internet-savvy minds if not porn stars in curtain costumes. "The work is a deliberate response to the ever-growing accessibility of ocular carnage that flows freely amongst the tides of a (seemingly) free internet," Steinhoff wrote in an email to The Huffington Post. "Not so much a protest, but more of a social commentary on what I’d like to call the banality of perversion."

In terms of naughty situations, Steinhoff spares no expense. Glory holes, dildos and strap-ons are all captured through his NSFW lens, just in case typical ol' nudity wasn't subversive enough. "Each of these images was intended to be ripped from the web, appropriated, and thrust back out into the vastness of which it came without any objective to be improved upon or commodified," Steinhoff continued, "simply passing footnotes in the abyss of society’s digital wreckage."

The bizarrely naughty photos toy with our physical reactions to explicit imagery, questioning whether any image has the power to get viewers all riled up anymore. If two human-shaped couch pillows doing the dirty won't get your blood tingling, what will?

What do you think of Steinhoff's strange exploration of illicit imagery? Would you share his "Porn For The Whole Family" series with your family?
