As if celebrities weren't already cornering every other market out there, they are now taking center stage in the food world -- writing blogs, publishing books and hosting TV shows all about food. Gwyneth Paltrow, and her website goop, may be the most famous celebrity foodie we love to hate, but she's just the beginning. Foodie celebrities are a dime a dozen today.
Some of these foodies are actually experts -- they're excellent home cooks, compassionate food activists or just honest food lovers. Others are neither expert nor authentic. Whether they're legit or disingenuous, these foodie celebrities have definitely captured our attention. We hate them when they're preachy and out of touch, but we love them when they give into temptation and totally pig out sometimes, just like us.
Their love of food and cooking (even if it's not always entirely sincere) humanizes these celebrities. They seem more like "real" people and we can relate to them better, which poses the question: If you were a foodie celebrity, who would you be?
