The 'Back To The Grill' Video, Featuring Nas, Is Perfect For Throwback Thursday

Throwback To The Grill Again: Nas' Great Verse For MC Serch

"Time Is Illmatic," a new documentary focused on the making Nasir "Nas" Jones' seminal 1994 album, "Illmatic," kicked off the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday night. The film sheds light on Nas' family life and upbringing in the Queensbridge housing projects in Long Island City, New York. It also includes a clip from MC Serch's "Back to the Grill," which is just about the best time capsule of 1992 ever. (Sample lyric: "And George Bush gets enough props.") In honor of "Time Is Illmatic," the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and Throwback Thursday (#tbt for the kidz), here's the video for "Back to the Grill."
