Arianna Huffington and Mika Brzezinski hosted "Thrive," the second Third Metric conference, to redefine success beyond the first two metrics of money and power, to include well-being, wisdom, wonder and giving. Several women who spoke at the event joined HuffPost Live to chat with host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani about their experience at the event.
Comedian Maysoon Zayid kicked off Thursday night's event with a little humor, and her talk quickly got the whole crowd chuckling.
"If you can get them laughing, you can get them listening," she told Modarressy-Tehrani, noting that the event inspired her to start getting more sleep.
Bea Arthur, founder and CEO of Pretty Padded Room, said that the message of Thrive particularly resonated with her because she works with many millennial women who often find themselves stressed and overwhelmed with their careers.
"You see that a lot -- just trying to achieve so many things and getting overwhelmed," said Arthur. "I think it's great for a lot of the leaders who are leading this revolution to remind us that yes, it's important... to slow down and enjoy the process."
