The 2014 'American Comedy Awards' Features Craig Robinson And The Nasty Delicious

Watch A Clip From The 'American Comedy Awards'

Craig Robinson and his band kicked off the 2014 "American Comedy Awards" with the same kind of energy he brought to singing that Black Eyed Peas song in "Hot Tub Time Machine." Basically, he got things started.

NBC taped the awards ceremony in NYC on April 26, bringing back TV's only comedy-centric awards show after it had a brief stint on Comedy Central in 2011 and 2012.

Nominees included comedic actors, writers, directors, stand-up comedians and even viral videos. Bill Cosby was the recipient of the Johnny Carson Award For Comedic Excellence, but you'll have to wait until it airs to find out the rest of the winners.

Have a look at the start of the show in the clip above. The "American Comedy Awards" airs Thursday, May 8 at 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. central on NBC.
