Former NBA All-Star's Pro Baseball Debut Was Not Good

Former NBA star Tracy McGrady made his professional baseball debut for the Sugar Land Skeeters on Saturday in Sugar Land, Texas and it didn't last very long. Here are some stats from T-Mac's lackluster performance, which resulted in a 5-3 loss:

  • Pitched 1 2/3 innings
  • Gave Up Two hits
  • Allowed Two earned runs
  • Walked two batters
  • Zero strikeouts
  • 35 pitches with 18 strikes

“All in all I did pretty well, and those guys (teammates) seem to think I did as well,” McGrady told the Houston Chronicle. “I give myself a B-minus."

The seven-time NBA All-Star played baseball in high school until he transferred to another school that didn't have a baseball team, per the Associated Press.
