A school guidance counselor in Florida was arrested last Friday after allegedly driving to work drunk.
Angela Mazzocco, 46, a guidance counselor at Polo Park Middle School, was spotted by an officer weaving her car on the road, according to the Palm Beach Post.
When a trooper pulled Mazzocco over, the suspect allegedly told him she took medication including Xanax and Lexapro earlier that morning. Although Mazzocco denied drinking alcohol, a breathalyzer showed she had a blood alcohol content of .20, more than twice the legal limit, according to WPTV.
Mazzocco was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. She is scheduled to appear in court June 9th.
