A high school senior went the unconventional route for her yearbook quote and opted for a clever science joke -- but not everyone appreciated the humor.
School administrators upset about Paris Gray's "Back That A** Up" joke considered barring the student from walking at graduation from Mundy's Mill High School in Clayton County, Georgia, next week, according to ABC affiliate WBS-TV. But Business Insider reports the student recently received the OK.
Gray’s full yearbook message reads: "When the going gets tough just remember to Barium, Carbon, Potassium, Thorium, Astatine, Arsenic, Sulfur, Uranium, Phosphorus." When the elements are translated into their symbols on the periodic table, they spell out “Back That A** Up.”
Gray’s cunning code, however, arguably pales in comparison to the mischievous talents of Jessica Lee, who last year played a far dirtier joke using the periodic table.
Lee’s yearbook quote, with the corresponding element symbols, read: “(F) fluorine (U) uranium (C) carbon (K) potassium (Bi) bismuth (Tc) technetium (He) helium (S) sulfur (Ge) germanium (Tm) thulium (O) oxygen (Ne) neon (Y) yttrium.”
Or more succinctly, “F*** B****es Get Money”
