One Direction Members Smoke Weed In Leaked Video

In what might be the least surprising news in the entertainment world today, it was discovered that two 20-something members of the boy band One Direction may enjoy smoking what appears to be marijuana.

The Daily Mail was the first to post footage of Zayn Malik, 21, and Louis Tomlinson, 22, smoking a "joint" and joking about drug use. The video was shot by Tomlinson, who narrates the video in the back of an SUV as the boys drive through Lima, Peru, en route to their sold out show at the Estadio Nacional on April 27.

"So here we are, leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days.” Tomlinson says as the SUV leaves a parking garage. "What do you think Zayn, about that type of content?”

"Very controversial,” Malik responds.

Over the course of the five minute video, the two pop stars pass a joint around, amused by the fact that they are being escorted by the police to their venue, sounding goofier as time progresses.

"One very very important factor of Zayn’s warm up of course is Mary J herself. In fact I will present it to him now for some fantastic singing," Tomlinson says at one point.

As Gawker puts it, "The filmed conversation is pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a group of stoned twenty-year-olds worth millions of dollars."

When asked for comment on the video, a rep for One Direction told the Daily Mail, "This matter is in the hands of our lawyers."
