David Rees Is About To Teach You Everything You Thought You Already Knew

If you thought you knew how to make ice cubes, tie your shoes and dig a hole, then you are in for a rude awakening. David Rees ("Get Your War On," "Artisanal Pencil Sharpening") has a new show debuting next week on National Geographic, and it is going to blow the lid off of everything.

"Going Deep with David Rees" is a how-to show that takes an in-depth look at things we take for granted, and it's a ridiculously fun time in the process.

All credit goes to Rees himself, who has a supernatural ability to get excited about things most people have no emotional response to. Like holes, for instance.

In the "How To Dig A Hole" episode of "Going Deep," Rees goes from sketching out plans for his very own party hole ...

... to discovering an intimate truth:

Oh, and we haven't even mentioned all the glorious nerd high-fives that the show offers.

"Going Deep with David Rees" premieres Monday, July 14, at 10:00 p.m. ET on National Geographic.
