A CNN reporter in Gaza was forced to duck for cover at least twice over a period of hours as Israeli blasts fell around him.
Karl Penhaul got little relief from the escalating Israeli assault on Monday night and Tuesday morning. The evening found him diving out of camera view as the sky behind him lit up with the force of a strike.
On Tuesday morning, Penhaul took cover once more, as what he described as a missile rammed into a building 200 yards away from his camera position.
"I can see people's washing hanging out from the balconies lower down," he said, "and I can now hear people screaming."
