Manny Machado Went And Showed Off His Incredible Arm Again (VIDEO, GIF)

Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado did that thing again where he shows off his arm strength with an off-balanced and spectacular throw.

Angels slugger Albert Pujols hit a sharp ground ball down the third base line in the fourth inning on Wednesday night, forcing the 2013 Gold Glove winner to quickly move to his right and backhand the ball. As his momentum carried him further into foul territory, Machado somehow managed to unleash a strong throw across the diamond to teammate Steve Pearce. The ball beat Pujols by more than a few steps.

O's announcer Gary Thorne had what might have been the most appropriate immediate reaction when he yelled, "Look at that arm! Oh, Mercy!"

The throw looked very similar to one Machado made last season against the Yankees, which was beautifully mashed up into a GIF with a highlight from Hall of Fame third baseman Brooks Robinson.

"Well, Manny will tell you, looking back on it, he probably wished he set his feet and threw over the top. But I'll take it," Orioles manager Buck Showalter said after the game, via Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com. "I'm not going to handicap that one. What's great is he has the skills to do either one."

With the O's clinging to a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the ninth, Manny needed to make another great defensive play for the final out of the game. Machado had to charge in when Angels second baseman Howie Kendrick hit a slow grounder down the third base side. In one fluid motion, he scooped up the ball and fired a throw to first base to seal the win.
