A new video from BuzzFeed shows what happens when adults attempt to do middle school science experiments without instructions. (Spoiler: The results are not pretty.)

When given the ingredients to make a baking soda volcano and get a hard-boiled egg inside of a plastic bottle, teams of adults in the video above fumble their way through basic science experiments -- only sometimes reaching success.
