Savannah Guthrie Celebrates Last Day On 'Today' Before Maternity Leave

Savannah Guthrie's Last Day Before Maternity Leave

Savannah Guthrie made her final appearance on the "Today" show Monday before going on maternity leave.

The morning show threw the co-host a baby shower Monday morning full of surprises, including an unexpected phone call from Guthrie's mother and husband.

"Now I'm going to cry," the mom-to-be said after hearing her family on the phone.

Guthrie announced in March that she was pregnant, just after revealing her secret wedding to husband Mike Feldman. The couple has chosen not to find out the baby's sex.

On her last day, the "Today" co-hosts took a look back at Guthrie's 9 months of pregnancy with a special video tribute. Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford also made a special appearance just before the 9 AM hour to deliver a carriage full of baby gifts for the expecting mother. Matt Lauer joked that it feels like just yesterday that the crew was joking in Sochi about Guthrie being pregnant during the Olympics.

"It's been so fun, it's been such a surreal thing to go through on TV like this," a tearful Guthrie said. "My heart is full. I'll miss you guys."
