Politico Playbook reports Norris is the honorary chairman of the voter registration campaign. The ad featuring Norris' reasons to register to vote has "been broken down into fifteen-second ads and will run online as part of a 7 figure paid media buy by NRA-FAF," according to Playbook.
Norris encourages viewers to "protect your rights" in the ad, giving reasons to vote including "you have time right now, I know, because I'm standing right behind you" and "because I said so."
Norris hasn't shied away from politics before. Ahead of the 2012 presidential election, he released a video on his official YouTube channel claiming U.S. citizens would face "1,000 years of darkness" if President Barack Obama were re-elected. Norris has also come out against Common Core State Standards.
