Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) was re-elected to Congress Tuesday from the state's 1st District Tuesday, defeating Democrat Shirley Ringo.

Labrador was first elected to Congress in 2010. He easily defeated four relatively unknown challengers in the Republican primary earlier this year.

This summer, the congressman unsuccessfully challenged Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) in the race to succeed then-Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.).
