Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-Fla.) defeated his rival, Republican Carl Domino, in Tuesday's midterm election.

Domino served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. Murphy was elected to the U.S. Congress in 2012, when he beat controversial former Rep. Allen West (R-Fla). Upon being elected, Murphy became the youngest member of Congress at age 31.
