Indiana Doctor Kills Wife, Self, In Newlywed Murder-Suicide (911 Audio)

The reception tent was still on the lawn of an Indiana doctor's posh Terre Haute mansion when he shot his new wife dead Sunday.

Dr. Greg "Scott" Samson, 54, an anesthesiologist, killed his wife, Kelly Ecker Samson, 50, just hours after their wedding, police said. He then apparently turned the gun on himself.

The dispute, which erupted into violence shortly after the last guests left, appears to have been sparked by an argument over the couple's pre-nuptial agreement.

According to the Daily Mail, the doctor told his wife that she would "never get her hands on his money" during their wedding reception Saturday evening.

Ecker Samson made two 911 calls during early morning hours Sunday. Chilling audio of the calls (above), released Tuesday, document the woman's final moments.

In the first call, placed at 1:20 a.m., she tells a dispatcher that her husband is "beating the s*** out of [her],” and that he has guns in the house. It cuts out after a brief period of time. According to WTHI, the dispatcher tried to reconnect the call, but Ecker Samson called back about a minute later. On that second call, multiple shots are heard before the call is disconnected.

Deputies were dispatched to the Samson home, and found the new bride dead from shots to the chest and neck. She was in her 10-year-old son's bedroom. The boy and an elderly couple were home at the time of the shooting, and were removed from the residence unharmed.

Police discovered Samson locked in the basement, dead of a single gunshot wound to the head. The case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
