HuffPost Live Takes You Inside Nyctophobia, A Haunted House Like You've Never Seen Before

While typical haunted houses scare visitors with actors that get into your face, this is a Halloween fright that gets into your head.

Nyctophobia -- the word for an extreme fear of the dark -- is an innovative and unsettling haunt in Long Island, New York, where guests plunge themselves into a pitch-black, fully-immersive environment. HuffPost Live's Christian Nilsson and Caitlyn Becker braved the terror of Nyctophobia, but not without strapping on a couple of cameras to document the experience. Check out the video above to get a firsthand look at the fear-inducing adventure, which, according to our courageous fright-seekers, will leave your mind "completely fucked with."
