With midterm elections less than a week away, Democratic candidates are doing everything they can to distance themselves from an unpopular president.
On Tuesday night's "Daily Show," host Jon Stewart found even White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest couldn't quite bring himself to say President Barack Obama's name while defending him.
But the real show-stopper wasn't about the Democrats at all. It came when Stewart shared an ad featuring Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who stands to become the Senate Majority Leader if Republicans take control of the chamber (as polls say is increasingly likely).
The spot shows McConnell surrounded by bloodhounds, with two of the dogs headed right for his crotch. And that had Stewart using his pitch-perfect impression of the senator to voice a few unforgettable sentiments.
