Kevin Wade Loses Midterm Election Bid To Sen. Chris Coons

Republican Kevin Wade lost to Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) in Tuesday's U.S. Senate election.

Wade, an engineer and businessman, also ran for the Senate in 2012 against Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.).

Coons was first elected to the Senate in 2010 in a special election against tea party favorite Christine O'Donnell, who said in May that she would "rather slam my hand in a car door" than challenge Coons again this year.
