LeBron James may be @KingJames. He may also be a four-time NBA MVP and a two-time NBA champion. He may have even been described as the NBA's "Invisible Hand" for his apparent ability to dictate just about everything that happens in the league.

But he isn't the player being paid the largest salary in the NBA this season.

James, who returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers during the offseason after four years with the Miami Heat, is set to earn $20,644,400 in salary during the 2014-2015 season, according to ESPN. This is the highest single-season salary that he has ever earned in his career, according to Basketball-Reference. The 29-year-old signed a two-year contract with the Cavaliers in July that should allow him the chance to take advantage of any changes in the NBA's max contracts related to the league's lucrative TV deal.

In the meantime, James, whose endorsement deals help make him one of the world's highest-paid athletes, will have to settle for being tied with former Heat teammate Chris Bosh as the player with the sixth-highest salary in the NBA for the 2014-2015 campaign.

Five players are set to earn more in NBA salary than James during the season. Are they worth it?
