Bravo TV host Andy Cohen has never been one to mince words, so it comes as no surprise that he had no qualms about taking on his haters in a new interview.

"The thing I've learned is just never read comments about yourself on any gay websites," Cohen tells PrideSource's Chris Azzopardi. "They're so brutal and nasty."

Just how nasty? "They say, 'He's a self-promoting, queeny, bottom-feeding bottom and name-dropping starf*cker,'" Cohen adds.

Of course, Cohen, 46, doesn't want you to feel too bad. His new book, The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year, hits bookstores Nov. 11.

The tome, which Cohen describes as "really fun and name-drop-y and very pop culture heavy" but "also really personal," details the Bravo personality's encounters with Madonna, the "Real Housewives" crew and other celebrities.

"I love my life and I love what I'm able to do, absolutely," he says. "I never thought that I could [be on television], and someone pointed out recently that I'm the only gay late-night talk show host. I never thought I'd be that guy, so it's cool to be there."
