A video posted on YouTube shows a hotel worker, presumably a housekeeper, going through a guest's belongings while ostensibly making up the room.
The footage was posted over the weekend by Vince Stravix, who says the incident took place at a "brand-named" U.S. hotel on Nov. 5.
The clip includes captions to explain what the worker is doing. At various times, Stravix writes that she is checking out a package, using his laptop, trying to gain access to his tablet and going through his suitcase.
Luckily, she does not steal anything.
Stravix wrote in the comments that he wouldn't name the hotel or location.
"This video was not uploaded to incite a witch-hunt or a boycott," Stravix wrote. He said it was posted to make "people aware that even in a hotel room, someone could rifle through your things without you knowing, so password protect everything you own and keep valuables locked up."
Stravix added that he sent the uncut footage to the hotel's management.
