LeBron Notched Another Triple-Double, Then It Was Taken Away

Not so fast. LeBron James recorded his 48th career triple-double (including playoffs) on Monday night in a win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Then, it was gone.

That's because the NBA noticed James getting credit for an assist he should not have received credit for. Late in the third quarter, LeBron tipped a missed shot by New Orleans to teammate Tristan Thompson. Thompson then delivered an outlet pass to point guard Kyrie Irving, who drove past the Pelicans' transition defense for a tough layup. James was credited with the assist, which was his seventh at the time. He finished with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, until the league reviewed the play.

After the review, the NBA took away the assist and an offensive rebound.
