Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to her seat on "Fox & Friends" Friday morning after taking a nearly month-long break to recover from surgery that she now reveals gave her quite a scare.
Hasselbeck left the program in October, but asked that the details of her medical treatment remain private. Her co-hosts assured viewers that while she would be taking a few weeks off, she was "doing just fine."
On Friday, Hasselbeck finally shared the details of her departure:
“I had a tumor in my abdomen," she explained beside co-hosts Steve Doocy and Eric Bolling. "The doctor said, 'You got to get it out by the end of the month, we don’t like how it looks.' I had a scary week when we didn’t know what the results were."
Hasselbeck announced her return to the show on Thursday with a tweet:

Fortunately, the Fox News host said she received good news as the tumor was determined to be not cancerous.
"Everything came back okay. Surgery’s not fun, but it is necessary to find out if you have something really terrible," she said. "It was a scary week indeed."
