A Critical 'AHS: Freak Show' Script Has Been Stolen

If anyone likes to keep their secrets under wraps, it's Ryan Murphy with all things "American Horror Story." The series' co-creator has been so secretive about his show that it took four seasons for fans to learn that all the seasons of the anthology series are actually connected. It now appears that a major secret has gotten out regarding the Season 2 and Season 4 connection.

Naomi Grossman's Pepper is the only character (so far) to crossover from one season to another. We first met Pepper in Season 2's "Asylum," in which the microcephalic woman was in a mental institution for apparently drowning her sister's baby and cutting his ears off. Lily Rabe's Season 2 character, Sister Mary Eunice, will appear in the current season "Freak Show," which takes place before "Asylum," to explain Pepper's real backstory.

According to TMZ though, a pivotal scene regarding Pepper from an upcoming "Freak Show" script has been stolen. While only one page of the script has reportedly been stolen, it details how Pepper arrived at Briarcliff in "Asylum." The page, which was left behind on the New Orleans set by one of the actors, is apparently being shopped around to media outlets.

Twentieth Century Fox told TMZ, "The theft and unauthorized distribution of our scripts is a very serious matter, and we will take all appropriate steps necessary to vigorously protect our intellectual property." HuffPost Entertainment has reached out to FX for further comment. This post will be updated if and when one is received.
