Does Freezing Your Jeans Get Them Clean?

Claim: You can freeze your jeans clean

It Depends. College student Josh Le wore a single pair of jeans for 15 months straight without washing them. When his jeans became smelly, he'd just stick them in the freezer. A professor helped Josh test for levels of bacteria on his unwashed, 15-month-old jeans compared to a pair that were only worn for 13 days, and found no drastic differences in bacteria levels. With such a small experiment, the verdict is still out on this one. We wouldn't advise you to store your denim with your frozen veggies just yet. A machine wash is still tried and true.
