'The Little Couple's' Jen Arnold Details Her Fight With Cancer

TLC's 'The Little Couple' Star: Being Pregnant Gave Me Cancer

There is a memorable episode of "The Little Couple" in which Bill Klein and Dr. Jen Arnold, the stars of the show, travel to India to adopt their beautiful daughter, Zoey. While there, Arnold received shocking news after falling ill: she had a rare form of cancer caused by, of all things, being pregnant.

In a HuffPost Live interview Tuesday, Arnold — who said she and her husband always wanted to adopt anyway, because pregnancies are dangerous for people of her stature — called the experience "unbelievable," and not in a good way.

"We accidentally got pregnant, which happens to many couples who have gone through fertility struggles," she told host Nancy Redd. "It was unfortunately never meant to be a baby. We had what is called a molar pregnancy, and so I had a procedure to remove it quite a while before we went to India. And then unfortunately got sick in India."

Arnold was diagnosed with stage 3 choriocarcinoma, which occurs in the uterus. After undergoing chemotherapy, Arnold told HuffPost Live she is fine and living a wonderful life with her husband and kids.
