Unsurprisingly, J.J. Abrams Says Making 'Star Wars' Was 'An Amazing Experience'

Unsurprisingly, J.J. Abrams Loved Making 'Star Wars'

J.J. Abrams directed "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," and -- shocker -- he really enjoyed the job.

"It was an amazing experience making this movie, for everyone," Abrams told MTV's Josh Horowitz. "There was a weird buzz in the air when we were making this movie. We were all just aware of how hard we had to work to make it something worth people's time."

Not that Abrams wasn't concerned about getting things right. "It is without question an intense and terrifying prospect," he said. "[But] the opportunity is greater than the fear, greater than the risk. I'm more excited about the work everyone has done in the movie and this incredible cast."

About that cast: John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o, Max von Sydow, Andy Serkis, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford all star. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is out Dec. 18.
