Teen With Autism Who Has A Passion For Vacuums Gets Ultimate Birthday Surprise: A Kirby

This teen's birthday surprise led to tears of joy.

Dylan Johnson, who has autism, has had an appreciation for vacuum cleaners since he was 2 years old, according to Today.com. This year, for the teen's 14th birthday, Dylan's mother, Jodie Greene, wanted to throw her son a party that would honor his passion. So, she reached out to Kirby company, a vacuum cleaner maker, with a unique proposal.

"I am reaching out to you in hopes for an answer to an unusual request for my son who is autistic. He has always been obsessed with vacuum cleaners. His favorite is the Kirby," Greene to the company, according to CBS6. "I really would love to get a [vacuum cleaning] demo done for him for his birthday ... it would warm my heart to see him so excited to experience that."

The company answered her request, and last weekend, Dylan celebrated his big day with friends, family and a special vacuum cleaning demo by Kirby salesman Al Archie, which ended with one last surprise, CBS6 reported.

"Right after they finished shampooing, [Archie] said, 'This is your vacuum, you get to keep it,'" Greene told Today.com of the magical moment. "We all just started crying. We had no idea that that was going to happen."

It was an experience that blew Dylan away.

"For the first time, I’ve seen Dylan truly happy," his mom told Today.com.

While Dylan was ecstatic with his gift, he wasn't the only one moved at the birthday party.

"He knew more about the Kirby than I did," Archie told CBS6, touched by Dylan's knowledge. "I have never experienced anything like that."
