Girl Becomes Wonder Woman To Celebrate Last Chemo Treatment

Sophia Sandoval is only 3 years old, but she's already Wonder Woman.

Last Friday, the tiny tyke had her last chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumor, in May. To celebrate, Sophia wore the outfit of one of her favorite inspirational superheroes, Wonder Woman.

In a photo posted to the "Team Sophia" Facebook page, she also holds a sign high that reads, "My last day of chemo ... It was tough, but I was tougher."

The photo attracted the attention of Lynda Carter, the actress who played Wonder Woman on TV in the 1970s. Carter shared the photo on her own page, and proclaiming Sophia "A real-life little [Wonder Woman]!!"

Carter's post was "an inspiration," Sophia's mother, Rossio Sandoval, told Today. "It makes us feel so, so happy."

She added that Sophia has already regained much of her strength, and will undergo an MRI in the next several weeks to confirm she's cancer free.
