Two California teachers who are already accused of having sex with students are now accused of giving them cocaine.
Michelle Ghirelli, 30, of West Covina, and Melody Lippert, 38, of Covina, are each charged with a felony count of unlawful sexual intercourse and an additional felony count of giving a controlled substance to a minor, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office. Ghirelli was also charged with a felony count of oral copulation of a minor.
Both teachers were arrested in January and accused of having sex with students at a party on San Clemente State Beach.
Lippert worked as a teacher at South Hills High School in West Covina at the time of the alleged crimes in November. Ghirelli worked at the Covina-Valley Unified School District and previously worked as a teacher at South Hills.
After their arrest, an art teacher at the school was suspended after he reportedly published a Facebook status defending Lippert and Ghirelli. The profanity-laden post said that the victims "hsould have just kept [their] stupid mouths shut and enjoyed it."
Sean Patrick was placed on paid leave following the incident.
According to the New York Daily News, Patrick's profanity-laden Facebook post said:

As many of you know especially those of you whom were once former students and now adults and are my friends on facebook and posting about it two female teachers (colleagues of mine) got arrested for going on summer vacations with and sleeping with some of the male students...
