Ramona Singer On 'Being Betrayed' By Former Husband Mario: 'It Humbled Me Big Time'

'Real Housewife' Ramona Singer On 'Being Betrayed' By Husband Mario

Ramona Singer's sudden split from her husband of 21 years will afford "Real Housewives of New York" viewers a very different look at the reality star this season, she told HuffPost Live in an interview Tuesday.

"Being betrayed by your spouse is probably the worst thing that could ever happen to anyone, and it humbled me," she said. "Big time."

The marriage fell apart when Mario "basically had a mid-life crisis," Singer explained. "I wasn't going to wait around for another four years for him to get over it, if he ever got over it."

It forced the 58-year-old to "peel back" and show her true colors.

"My walls are dropped. You're going to see a side of me that I'd never exposed before because I only do it maybe with close friends like Sonja, one on one. I'd never do it in a group," she said. "So you're going to see a sensitive side, a more fun side."
