Sofia Vergara is jumping on the celebrity reality bandwagon, but she’s doing it on her own terms.

The Colombian-born actress will star in “Vergaraland,” a six-episode series co-produced with Fusion, Variety reports. The series will be exclusively available on Snapchat this summer.

“Vergaraland” is planned as a humorous take on the actress’ life, as told by her 22-year-old son, Manolo González Vergara, according to Variety. The series will live in Snapchat’s Discover service, where media companies can post content that remains available to Snapchat users for 24 hours.

“Manolo finally graduated, and I am very happy for his alliance with Fusion to create such an innovative series,” Sofia Vergara said in a statement, according to Forbes.

It’s not the first time the “Modern Family” star has been the subject of a documentary-style series told from the perspective of her son. For years, Manolo has intermittently shot, produced and uploaded his YouTube Spanish-language series, “Mi Vida Con Toty” -- “My Life With Toty,” a reference to Vergara’s childhood nickname. The YouTube videos have featured birthday celebrations, the actress' relationship with Manolo’s father, and behind-the-scenes interviews with the “Modern Family” cast.

The 42-year-old star is currently television’s highest-paid actress, a title she’s held for three consecutive years. But in an interview with the Los Angeles Times earlier this month, Vergara lamented the lack of Latinos behind the scenes in Hollywood.

“The problem is there aren't Latin people creating content,” she said. “Many of them are doing soap operas. It is a lack of Latin people writing. It's not the fault I think of an American writer. Usually when you write, you write what you know about.”

“Vergaraland” will be produced with the help of her entertainment marketing firm Latin World Entertainment.

While the actress has had major success in front of the camera, Vergara has yet to make much of a splash with her own behind-the-scenes efforts. She had an executive producer credit on her recent buddy comedy, “Hot Pursuit,” which premiered last weekend with an underwhelming $13.3 million box office. The star was also an executive producer on the 2014 ABC series “Killer Women,” which was canceled before the end of its first season.
