The feel-good song of the summer just dropped.
Last year, Jessie J took over the charts with her hit "Bang Bang" featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, and now she's set to do it again with the new song "Sorry to Interrupt." The singer co-wrote and collaborated with Rixton and Jhené Aiko on the tune as part of Pop-Tarts' Crazy Good Summer program.
"I'm really excited about people hearing it, mostly because we have completely different styles coming together on one song, which never really happens," Jessie J told The Huffington Post of working with Rixton and Aiko on the track. "I always like to share the light and shine brighter, so for me, I felt honored that they were singing a song that I had co-written. We created something that I don't think I ever would have created by myself, so I'm really grateful."
Starting June 10 at 3 p.m. EST, music fans will be able to stream "Sorry to Interrupt" for free on the Pop-Tarts Tumblr page. Jessie J, Rixton and Aiko will also perform together live at two free concerts this summer as part of the partnership. The dates and locations of the performances will be revealed on Pop-Tarts Tumblr on July 2.
"You can also see behind-the-scenes stuff," Jessie J told HuffPost. "That's the bit the fans will love the most, seeing us record the song the day we all got together and worked on it, which is wicked."
The "Flashlight" singer has had a lot of success working with fellow artists. Her 2011 song "Price Tag" featuring B.o.B. hit No. 23 on the Hot 100 Billboard chart while "Bang Bang" landed at No. 6.
